Health Insurance Providers | Alexandria Dentist Admits To Health Care Fraud
An Alexandria dentist has certified that he billed illness insurance providers for services he didn’t supply for more than 4 years, bilking hundreds of thousands of dollars from companies and taxpayers.
Dr. Tuan Vu, 43, pleaded guilty to illness caring rascal Tuesday in sovereign justice in Alexandria.
Prosecutors say Vu, the owners of Cosmetic Family Dentistry, bilked at least 10 in isolation insurance companies out of more than $400,000. The rascal moreover caused more than $87,000 in losses to the Federal Employee Health Benefits Program and $180,000 in losses to Virginia’s Medicaid program.
Vu could face up to 10 years in jail when he is condemned on May 4.
